"Let’s Talk About Money! Solving Pay Problems with Non-Exempt Employees"

 

 

 

Learning Objectives:

Session Description:

Are employees entitled to overtime on bonuses? Do commissioned employees really earn overtime? Why can’t we use comp time? No need to jump overboard! We’ll answer these and many of the other FLSA wage & hour questions that keep HR directors up at night. The focus of the session will be on issues involving non-exempt employees. We’ll use real-life examples that companies encounter on a daily basis and offer practical solutions to solve the problems. We will learn steps companies can take to minimize the risk of a Department of Labor (DOL) audit and how to survive if you get “selected” for an audit. The session will also include an update on the latest cases and other news coming out of the DOL. We’ll have fun and you’ll sleep better at night.

Julie Pugh is an attorney/partner at the Graydon law firm in Cincinnati. She is a noted national speaker on a variety of employment topics.
